Now that I have launched the site I would like to welcome all the new readers. There are quite a few of you - daily visitors to the website has jumped from zero last week to about 180 readers each day. I am very pleased with the response. It helps me knowing that at least a few other folks out there enjoy learning as a hobby.
One of the trickier aspects to technology is generating HTML that is readable by all the popular email applications. I have personally tested the following email clients:
SquirrelMail (webmail)
Mozilla Thunderbird (.6)
PocoMail
SnapperMail (limited success as this is a PalmOS mail client and the HTML rendering is necessarily limited due to the size of pocket organizer screens.)
My concern is that I cover all bases. I am particularly concerned with other webmail clients (GMail, Yahoo webmail, Hotmail, etc.) as well as other leading email software clients such as Eudora, Pegasus and OperaMail. I would appreciate knowing if the newsletter is formatting strangely with mail clients I have been unable to test.
In any case, thanks for reading. It helps me justify the time I have put into developing the site. And spread the word!
