I hereby officially announce the Search Engine LoveDex. It’s the composite reporting tool every webmaster needs and Aimless Words has it. The idea is that everytime one of the bots from Yahoo, Google, or MSN stops by I record the visit in the LoveDex. Kinda stupid but I got the idea when I realized that MSNBot seems to stutter and forget where it has been in say the last 2 minutes. It visited me yesterday on my home page in excess of 30 times often within minutes of itself and from the same IP address. That is popularity if ever I have seen it so I threw together this silly little script during lunch to amaze and entertain.
The LoveDex will promptly be reset at midnight at the end of each month. For those wondering, every bot visit is recorded and not just visits to my main page.
Enjoy.

I think I get it. You just want to check which bot is visiting most often?

Kinda. It’s really sort of tongue in cheek. I am pretty sure that MSNBot is insane and I want the world to know. The LoveDex will provide a visual indicator of how chatty each SE is and it does provide me with SE visit stats at a glance but AWStats provides that information. Finally, it was a great way to spend a lunch - throwing together some silly PHP code.
