You sign up for one of their offers. You generally need a credit card to sign up and they have deals with ebay, AOL, and several other companies. You may cancel your membership with the service you signup for without further obligation and no cost if you find it is not to your liking so it is possible to get a free ipod.

Next, you get five of your buddies to sign up. Simple enough? Actually, no. While they have given away hundreds of ipods they have had tens of thousands of signups. You see, they get paid for each referral while you only get paid if you accept an offer and get five of your buddies to accept an offer. They actually lose money when they have to give away an ipod on six net referrals but on average they are pocketing some solid cash.
