It seems that I was slashdotted this morning and based on the size of the server log it was worth about 10K visitors so far which is cool. I received several new links to GMail-related software that will be added today and even better - some nice gentleman offered 36 invites for the taking. Great all around day for GMail and the invitees.

Actually, the machine my site is housed on handled the additional traffic pretty well. As to bandwidth, I won’t come near exceeding my allocation. I didn’t know what to expect from a Slashdot referral but now I can tell you - about 12K hits in 12 hour period. I’m sure the right topic could easily push that number 10 times higher though.
