This one may be good for a laugh or two. GMail Bot is a system tray notification program for Windows. It costs $1.33. Really! That’s the punch-line. Why $1.33? I haven’t the slightest clue. Never mind that they have not updated the site to reflect the fact that Google has released a notification client for Windows. Never mind those amazingly annoying frames on their website. Never mind the fact that they are using the free publicly-available .NET API for GMail. Never mind that there are several Windows-based notification programs.

I have not downloaded their application but they claim you can download and then you will be prompted to pay using Paypal during installation. Quaint. Enterprising. Unnecessary.
