From a reader:
Couple of quick comments.. Did you see this story about CSS on your Gmail messages?http://www.alexking.org/blog/2005/02/01/styling-g-mail-with-user-css/
Also, please, enough with the gmail give-aways..
How about some stories about Gmail and the things you can do with it?
OK, I get the idea. Actually, the idea that the GMail giveaways were taking over the site has been building in the back of my mind. I, with the help of kind readers, have given away well over 200 invites over the past few weeks but enough is enough. It’s time to get back to my old ways - GMail news. From this point forward, if you want to contribute GMail invites to the people, please submit them to the GMail-o-matic queue.
On a related note, I did register gmailskins.com several weeks ago with the thought of creating a site featuring GMail skins. After registering it, I felt that maybe there wasn’t room for enough creativity using CSS to modify GMail’s look. What do you guys think? There are obviously some limitations - IE doesn’t allow user provided CSS files for remote site application. Of course, IE doesn’t encompass all browser use but it does account for more significantly more than 50% of the market. Are there enough Firefox users to make this a worthwhile endeavor? Perhaps Bill will get the IE team on the ball and provide support for user provided CSS files? Come on Bill! This is your opportunity to get a jump on the soon to come Google browser.
Thanks Tim!

THANK YOU. I used to come here all the time, but the invites were getting ridiculus. I was about to email you and say get a grip. I donate all mine to that invite system anyway. Today GMail changed the invite tab, back over to the right.

Looks like I made the move at just the right time - people are sending me emails offering me 50+ invites at a time. Looks like another big wave of invites are being pushed.

Here is the link for 50 Gmail invites!
I have over 200 available for anyone who will email me.
I’m not looking for anyone to put some lame comments in some lame site, or want anything in return. Just an email and I will happily send you one off.
Peace,
B

Actually Firefox is not the only browser supporting CSS-skinning. Using Opera you won’t even need a plugin. Too bad not so many people know about Opera. Most of the things Firefox is appreciated for were invented by Opera.
