The Stiletto is getting some good buzz. I’m a Sirius subscriber and it definitely has taken satellite radio to a new level. The bad side is the weak satellite reception; the good side is the WiFi reception.

Ain’t no stopping these Sirius guys. XM is probably beginning to realize that there is no where to go when you are on top except down:

XM may have the NFL, but we’re seeing the scales tip the other way much more quickly these days: Sirius has officially announced their plans to go video in 2006 (totally beating XM to the punch) in partnership with Microsoft; they will apparently “use software” from them, but we’re assuming this is going to mean they’ll be using CE.net or Windows Mobile on their video-ready devices. This just after Sirius got Ford, Eminem, and Howard Stern? it’s looking rough for XM man, looking rough.

Sirius has inked a deal with Maxim to air a 24/7 Maxim channel. Some competition for XM Satellite Radio’s Playboy channel and free to all Sirius subscribers. Now that’s a deal.

With programming input from Dennis Publishing editors, Maxim Radio will make a natural transfer of the magazine’s influential and clever content to an around-the-clock broadcast entertainment vehicle. Programming will provide social ammunition for men through an unpredictable mix of music, witty conversation and smart information, effectively adapting the attitude and
humor that has made Maxim so successful.

Daily morning and afternoon shows are in the works, complete with hosts, and a diverse selection of music, with topics such as sports, cars, gadgets and entertainment. Midday programming will incorporate Maxim topics in short form. Sirius announced today a 24/7 all Elvis channel that will be beamed direct from Graceland to your Sirius radio. The quote below, from the news release, is just funny. Mo money for Graceland.
