For Garmin StreetPilot III 8” Flexible Gooseneck Car Cradle Windshield Mount Kit Finally a portable alternative to the sticky mount! (works on Magellan too) Desrciption I traded my car in for a new one and pried off the traditional Garmin Mount. On no!! There goes the tape. Now what do I do? This mount uses an extremely strong suction cup that attaches to your windshield. All you do is press the suction cup to the windshield then press down on the air lock and it's permanent until you press the the air lock back up then it comes right off. The suction on this pedestal is very strong and has a suggested weight capacity of up to 20 lbs. This pedestal installs without tools and can easily be transferred from vehicle to vehicle. We provide 4 screws and a mounting plate that will fit right into the holes on the back of the bracket that comes with the Streetpilot. Don't worry about the sturdiness. This is a high quality product that won't budge. To test it, I drove down to the New Jersey shore this weekend and didn't have problem. It even stayed put when some guy rear ended me on the Garden State Parkway (true story). So now I have over $2000 of damage to my rear bumper. All done for the sake of quality assurance so buy extras to help me pay for my deductible! You will like the quality and it sure beats the tape Garmin gives you for the back of the car mount which falls off come the first hot day in the summer. Seven day return if not satisfied.
